Technology for Business Conference- 1st October 2008

Connecting Somerset is helping local businesses develop their IT skills and stay one step ahead of the competition.
You are invited to attend our Technology for Business Conference on Wednesday 1 October. The conference, which will run between 9am - 5:30pm, is to be held at Haynes International Motor Museum, Sparkford, Yeovil and will show how technology is beneficial to business.
You'll be treated to an introductory speech by a senior representative from CISCO, who will address some of the issues faced by Somerset's small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
You will also be able to attend workshops and book 1:1 surgeries with local IT and business support companies throughout the day.
Each workshop will last 1 hour and aims to explain technology solutions in simple terms.
This conference will see the introduction of three new workshops: Systems Integration, Business Success through ICT Planning and the Legalities of E-Commerce.
The full set of workshops will be run twice during the day
Other workshops will include: Flexible Working, Security, Search Engine Optimisation, New Media, Practical Tips for Successful Online Trading and the Effective use of Technology and Training.
Tickets cost just £15 per delegate and include a buffet lunch and entry to any of the workshops offered on the day.
