DO YOU WANT TO SEE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE BRISTOL-WEYMOUTH RAIL SERVICE?

Yeovil Chamber have been lobbying on behalf of local business to improve local rail services. The Bristol-Weymouth Service fails to meet the needs of business users with infrequent services, poor timetabling and unreliability. We are working with the Heart of Wessex Rail Partnership to build a business case for investment in improved services on this line and your help is needed.
One of the principal defects of the rail service is the lack of potential for staff to commute buy rail to Yeovil. Your help as a local employer is needed to undertake a short survey of your workforce to identify the potential demand for better services.

The results of this study will also be used by South Somerset District Council to inform their own broader policy work for Yeovil and to feed into Somerset County Council's next Local Transport plan.
