Business Leaders Breakfasts were devised out of our member surveys which consistently indicate a requirement for big-picture insight and interaction with key figuresThese invitation-only events are primarily aimed at business leaders, business owners, and those with a keen interest in the wider business environment. 

Headlined with a high-profile speaker from a key stakeholder organisation influencing the local and regional economy, discussing their organisation and how 'what they do' benefits the business community. 

Full breakfast, followed by a 25-minute briefing from the guest speaker.  The briefing session is rounded off with open Q&As, allowing you to ask those vital questions that affect you and your business.  Open networking is encouraged either side of the event and over breakfast*.  These events are always well-attended, and take place on the third Thursday of February, April, June, and October (no August or December).

Sue Mountstevens is a familiar face in the regional media, and has been the Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner since 2012. Prior to this role she was an independent member of Avon and Somerset Police Authority, vice-chair of the Independent Monitoring Board for Bristol Prison and was a magistrate for fifteen years. Earlier in her career she ran the Mountstevens Bakeries chain.  She was the only Commissioner elected with a mandate exceeding 10% of the electorate.  Sue was re-elected in May 2016, winning with a grand total of 118,547 first and second preference votes.  As well as her existing policing priorities, Sue has also pledged to continue to prioritise the most vulnerable in society particularly children who are sexually exploited and has vowed to do all she can to listen to the quiet voices, especially victims of crime.
