Save money whilst reducing your carbon footprint: SME Business Workshop
Join Energy consultant, Dave Horton, in partnership with Yeovil College and South Somerset District Council for a bite-size session aimed at SMEs and businesses across the district to find out how you can save money whilst reducing your carbon emissions. This interactive session will cover a range of topics, including how changes to your energy usage, transportation and waste can help to achieve a reduction in your business emissions, as well as how to calculate your carbon footprint to help with decision making. The session will also look at ways you can influence staff and customer awareness of the issue, whilst also highlighting a range of practical ways businesses can help to reduce their costs and energy usage.
In June 2019, the UK committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 100% by 2050, compared to 1990 levels. Acting now on cutting carbon can have many advantages for your business, such as:
- cutting energy and transport costs;
- qualifying for tax benefits;
- meeting environmental regulations; and
- attracting new customers and staff
At the end of this workshop, you should feel equipped with a better understanding of how to get your business started on the road to cutting carbon!
